If the failure is serious and affects equipment across the warehouse, a specialist will likely need to travel to the site to resolve the issue. This results in travel costs (several hundred zlotys) and a lost workday. Modern MDM platforms with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/proget.pl\/en\/mobile-threat-prevention\/\" id=\"1164\">MTP (Mobile Threat Prevention) mechanisms<\/a><\/span> allow you to <strong>monitor the status of all mobile devices connected to the console<\/strong> \u2013 24 hours a day, 7 days a week \u2013 and, most importantly, they automatically respond to detected incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-lg-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm)\">Thanks to MDM, a company can also <strong>enforce <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/proget.pl\/en\/policies\/\" id=\"1146\">security policies<\/a><\/span> on its devices<\/strong>: for example, require users to use strong passwords, enable data encryption and automatic OS updates, or block the installation of apps other than those truly necessary for work and sourced from trusted providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-neutral-100-background-color has-background has-lg-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm)\">Why is this so important? According to the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/reports\/data-breach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cost of a Data Breach 2025<\/a><\/span><\/em> report published by IBM, the average cost to companies from a data breach last year was <strong>$4.4 million<\/strong>, or just under 16 million PLN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-lg-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm)\">Of course, not every company is at risk of such serious breaches, <strong>but even a \u2018minor\u2019 incident<\/strong> resulting from someone hacking into a company account via an employee\u2019s poorly secured smartphone <strong>can cost tens of thousands<\/strong>, because this must include the cost of repairing damage to the infrastructure or potential fines from the Personal Data Protection Office. The very fact that implementing MDM <strong>facilitates maintaining security and compliance with regulations<\/strong> (both national and EU) is already a huge intangible benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-xl-font-size\" id=\"h-protection-in-case-of-physical-loss-or-theft-of-equipment\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--md);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xs);font-style:normal;font-weight:700\">Protection in case of physical loss or theft of equipment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-lg-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm)\">McAfee conducted an interesting study in which it calculated that <strong>every year, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcafee.com\/blogs\/mobile-security\/almost-5-of-smartphones-lost-every-year\/\" id=\"https:\/\/www.mcafee.com\/blogs\/mobile-security\/almost-5-of-smartphones-lost-every-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">one in twenty company smartphones is lost<\/a><\/span>, either accidentally or due to theft.<\/strong> Is that a lot? Yes, considering that each such situation carries the risk of a data breach. Let\u2019s also remember that good equipment is a significant expense: a top-of-the-line smartphone costs 2,000\u20133,000 PLN, and a new MacBook at least twice that much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-lg-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--sm)\">If a device is lost, MDM will allow you to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/proget.pl\/en\/location\/\" id=\"1193\">locate it<\/a><\/span> and, perhaps, recover it.
