Unlock the full management potential

Management of Apple devices is only possible via the Apple Push Notification service (APNs), with which the Proget solution integrates.

The Proget system also integrates with the Apple Business Manager (ABM) platform, which enables seamless device deployment and bulk purchasing of resources from one place – whether employees are using iPhones, iPads or Apple computers.

  • Automate the deployment of devices: register them in bulk and contactless, and assign configurations so that employees can use the equipment as soon as it is activated in the MDM system (formerly a separate DEP service – Device Enrollment Program).
  • Manage users: create managed Apple ID accounts for employees to enable them to use services such as iCloud and iTunes without having to create an individual Apple ID account.
  • Streamline distribution of applications and content: make them available en masse and manage them even after deployment (formerly a separate VPP service – Volume Purchase Program).

The Proget solution also fully integrates with the content management module Apps and Books. It enables companies and institutions to purchase paid and free apps and books in bulk. Once bought, this content can be easily available to individual users and devices through the MDM system. Using the Proget console, the administrator also can manage application licenses. This allows free license transfer between devices and consequently reduces the costs associated with purchasing access to paid content.

This feature lets you create and send custom commands to Apple devices – directly from Proget console. The administrator can send any commands included in the manufacturer’s documentation, even if their release in the iOS update has just happened.

Choose a device activation model that meets your organization’s needs

Supervised mode
Recommended activation, giving the company greater control over devices. It allows to apply broader restrictions and take advantage of additional configurations and features.
  • Nonpersonalized devices, organization-owned
  • Personally enabled devices, organization-owned
  • Adding a device to the MDM system with registration in Apple Business Manager
Non-supervised mode
Its configuration is based only on the profile installed on the device, thus giving administrators very limited management options. The user can remove it at any time.
  • Personally enabled devices, organization-owned
  • User-owned devices,
    BYOD
  • Adding a device to the MDM system without registering it in Apple Business Manager

Supervised nonpersonalized devices

Turn your company’s iPhone or iPad into a dedicated tool for your chosen business purpose – register it in Apple Business Manager, assign it a Kiosk profile and apply other restrictions as needed. In the supervised mode, the user will not be able to change the device’s settings or add their applications, which could interfere with the smooth functioning of the hardware. A tablet or phone configured in this way can be used for many purposes. In the HoReCa industry, it successfully works as an elegant carrier for displaying menus and placing orders in restaurants, but also for electronically completing the data necessary for hotel accommodation.

Supervised devices, personally enabled

Allow employees to use the company’s devices a little more freely, while retaining all the benefits of a supervised device deployment. Provide users with dedicated hardware, configured according to your organization’s requirements. Once the device is handed over, employees can customize it by adding useful applications or personal data. Further personalization is limited by administrator-imposed policies that guarantee the security of confidential business information.

Non-supervised devices, personally enabled

In a non-supervised deployment, you will configure the company’s hardware, tailoring it to the organization’s requirements and the individual employee’s needs. Each user can further personalize the device, controlled in this model by a profile prepared by the administrator. This activation method gives employees much more freedom, while the policies that the administrator can impose are limited only to the capabilities provided by the profile installed on the device – but the user can remove it at any time. For this reason, this model is not a recommended solution for organizations that rely on the highest level of security for their data.

User-owned devices (BYOD)

Let employees use their devices for work without sacrificing the ability to protect business data in a basic way. This model allows the greatest personalization of the equipment, limiting administrator interference in its operation. To make business services available to employees, add devices to the MDM system. In this mode, as with non-supervised, personally enabled devices, corporate security is implemented through a configured profile installed on the equipment. However, it is worth noting that users are free to remove the profile and, with it, the security rules enforced.
