The challenge – an expanded fleet and application update

As a leading supplier of fencing and decorative structures, Grange Fencing has been shaping the appearance of gardens across the United Kingdom for over 150 years.

The customer wanted to streamline the tedious and time-consuming process of updating the company application on mobile devices used by forklift operators. The company also wanted to ensure that employees could not accidentally delete the application or change Wi-Fi settings.

The diversity of the equipment posed an additional challenge. The extensive fleet consists of Samsung phones and tablets as well as Lenovo tablets, which makes it difficult to maintain consistent security policies and ensure full control over all devices.

The solution – Proget system

The company implemented the Proget system as a central platform for managing its fleet of mobile devices. By configuring appropriate policies in the console, the customer automated the process of updating the company application. Patches are now installed remotely and in bulk. Administrators also gained the ability to monitor the status of all devices connected to MDM on an ongoing basis, allowing the IT department to quickly detect and resolve potential hardware issues.

Thanks to Proget, the company has managed to increase its security level: users no longer have access to critical settings on devices. The solution has proven itself in a heterogeneous environment, enabling convenient management of both phones and tablets from different manufacturers.
